Adrian I. has a post up on Bennett and suggests also doing Tim Morton’s new book (The Ecological Thought) as well. I think they compliment each other well, though they are in the end quite different. (In a word, Morton’s book is about a “mesh” of things that cannot be material, since it is always displaced from any particular object.) What’s good about both books is that they say quite a bit but aren’t in the least tedious. I have notes on both books, so I’m happy to do a reading group with other blogs since that won’t add too much to my workload, while also giving me a chance to discuss ideas I like in both books.
